ICDS – Overview


Education and New Generation are the youth of the future Country. I mean to say the Children are the future of the country.

If they will get educated in the proper way then they will do best for their own country.

But in India, some rural areas are still there where the Primary Education and Good Food Facilities and available.

So, to Provide the food, preschool education, and primary health care the Indian government running so many welfare Programs.

ICDS is one of them.

ICDS is the abbreviation of Integrated Child Development Services.

This welfare scheme is not only for Children but it is also for mothers.

Yes, ICDS provides food, preschool education, and primary healthcare to children less than 6 years of age and their mothers.

After that Morarji Desai Government discontinued it in 1978.
